Freshman Welcome Events
We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to Upland High School!
We have several fun opportunities coming up to help students feel comfortable and connected on campus:
August 4–6: Freshman Summer Academy (FSA)
This 3-day program from 8:30am-2:00pm is a great way for students to start feeling at home on campus. They will be placed in small classes where they’ll get to know staff and other students, participate in fun activities, complete academic refreshers, and hear from a world-renowned guest speaker. Bonus: Students who attend all 3 days will receive their ASB card (a $50 value) for free!
August 12: Freshman Orientation
Students will meet their Link Crew leader—an upperclassman who will mentor them throughout the year. They’ll also tour the campus and connect with other incoming freshmen. As we get closer to the event, Freshmen need to check their school email to see if they are in the 8:30-11:30 or the 9:30-12:30 time block.
August 18: Freshman Registration
Students will take their ID and yearbook photos, pick up their class schedules, and receive their textbooks. Students who can't attend this day, can come to the make up day on August 19th. Stay tuned for more information about the assigned time slot based on last name.
